Anna Wise feat. Sonnymoon, Hildegard & Alabaster Stag at Spanish Moon

This is going on Tuesday at the Sp'oon. Kinda neat...

Anna Wise is a Grammy winning singer, songwriter, and performer based in Brooklyn, NY. Anna has garnered a dedicated following amongst musicians and music fans alike ever since her collaborations with Kendrick Lamar on good kid, m.A.A.d city (“Real,” “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe,” “Money Trees”) and To Pimp a Butterfly (“These Walls,” “Institutionalized”). Their song “These Walls” won the Grammy award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration at the 2016 Grammy’s.

Anna also performs alongside her band, Sonnymoon, with whom she has released three albums, Golden Age, Sonnymoon, and The Courage of Present Times. Anna has shared the stage with artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Kimbra, The Roots, Givers, Flying Lotus, Bilal, Teebs, Tei Shi, and more.

Anna’s first EP, The Feminine: Act I, is now available for purchase and streaming online.

Hildegard is a venturous collaboration between two of the leading voices on the New Orleans progressive music scene, vocalist Sasha Masakowski and guitarist Cliff Hines. Together the two have created genre-defying original music that seamlessly fuses progressive-rock and art-pop with contemporary jazz. Compositions are dynamic and compelling, Sasha's airy vocals singing catchy melodies with bold lyrics over a bed of lush harmonic and rhythmic structures while Cliff's wild guitar sounds conjure otherworldly spirits. The band also features guitarist John Maestas, bassist Max Moran, and drummer G Maxwell Zemanovic. They have toured throughout the United States, performing in notable venues including The Kennedy Center (Washington D.C.), The Royal Room (Seattle), The Mint (Los Angeles), Martyrs' (Chicago), The Boom Boom Room (San Fransisco), Cervantes and Quixotes (Denver), Sundance Film Festival (Park City), South By Southwest (Austin), and Harvard University (Cambridge).

In 2009, after the debut of her first album Musical Playground, Sasha was awarded New Orleans' Big Easy Music Award for "Best Emerging Artist of the Year." Since her 2011 release, Wishes has garnered Masakowski international acclaim with consistent airplay in the United Kingdom and performances throughout South America Europe and Asia.

Hines, now the current guitarist of the internationally acclaimed Christian Scott Quintet, has also released two records as a bandleader. Like Mystics of Old featured a fusion of electronic experimentation with pop sensibility. Cliff's sophomore release, Wanderlust, draws influence from folk and world music in conjunction with his uncanny union of electro-acoustic soundscapes. Both albums featured Sasha on vocals. Throughout 2012, Hines toured with The Mike Dillon Band as their bassist/guitarist/keyboardist, and was featured on their debut release Urn as well as their follow-up Band of Outsiders.

Alabaster Stag is a groove-powered soul machine based out of Baton Rouge, La. Comprised of talented performers from diverse musical backgrounds, this group combines elements of neo-soul, hip-hop, and jazz to create a fresh sound that anyone can enjoy.

Shes very striking. Musically, not sure on the basis of that one. There are elements there that I really like but I would need to hear more to know.
